About the Project
This neglected house, located in a suburban area, had been left to deteriorate for a decade. However, with a little TLC and some thoughtful renovations, it was transformed into a beautiful home that not only benefitted the new owner, but also the entire neighborhood.
Located at the entrance to a gated community, this house was a key focal point, and its revitalization brought new life and pride to the area. From updating the exterior to modernizing the interior, this project was a true testament to the power of transformation and the importance of investing in your community.
Design considerations, types, and advantages
The task at hand was a complete overhaul of the home to create a space that was both functional and inviting for a young family. This included addressing the severe water damage that had affected the home and updating the outdated floor plan.
The kitchen was opened up to the living room and a large kitchen island was added to provide space for entertainment. The wall separating the dining area was also removed to create a more open and spacious floor plan.
An additional bedroom was added on the lower level next to the bonus room to accommodate the growing family. All of the bathrooms were also updated with high-end laminate and wall-to-wall carpet to give them a more modern and luxurious feel.
The exterior of the home was also given a fresh makeover with the addition of low-maintenance entry stairs, a refreshed patio, and new landscaping to enhance the overall look and curb appeal of the property.
In the end, the team was able to successfully transform the home into a modern and functional space that the family could enjoy for years to come.
